CC 597 - Practicum and Internship Seminar


Prerequisite(s): 30 credits required in the first year of the program must be passed with a grade of B- or better before enrolling in CC597. This applied experience is an opportunity for students to demonstrate understanding of key concepts in counseling psychology and professional counseling in a work setting.  Training includes a variety of activities that a professional counselor is expected to perform, such as interviewing and intakes; individual, group, and family counseling; psychoeducational presentations and staff/case conference time. Registration in CC 597 requires attendance in weekly seminars in the fall semester. This seminar is taken contiguously with the clinical training field placement experience.
