PP 7403 - Ethics in Neuropsychology and Neuropsychological Interventions


This course will explore the ethical standards and principles relevant to the practice of neuropsychology. Topics covered include informed consent, test security, competence, patient privacy, and confidentiality. Additional topics that will be covered include special issues such as symptom validity, malingering, and forensic assessment.  Neuropsychological interventions that address cognitive, emotional, and behavioral issues related to neurological conditions and brain injury will be reviewed, with emphasis on evidence-based practices.  (2 credit hours)
