AB 586 - Introduction to the Experimental Analysis of Behavior
This course instructs students in the experimental foundation of behavior analysis. Topics include innate behavior patterns and habituation, basic research in and principles, theories, and applications of both respondent (classical) and operant conditioning, the latter to include reinforcement schedules, stimulus control, avoidance and punishment, and choice. Additional topics may include the evolutionary underpinnings of learning, cognitive vs. behavioral approaches to learning, physiological bases of learning, learning by observation, and behavioral economics.
