SP 548 - Applied Group and Individual Processes of Therapy


Prerequisite(s): SP 504 Affective & Social Bases of Behavior: Functioning and Assessment   This course examines the relevant therapeutic and developmental considerations encountered in counseling and therapy with children and adolescents in a school environment. Students are exposed to various models and processes for conducting individual, small group, and classroom counseling with students of diverse backgrounds. Emphasis in this course will be on the application of specific evidence-based strategies and techniques of psychotherapy. (3 credit hours)
