MM 555 - Research Methods in Marriage and Family Therapy


A general understanding of the types of research in marriage and family therapy is presented covering basic statistics, including the study of quantitative and qualitative research designs and methods, methods of statistical analysis used in research, reading and interpreting research, research report development, and research implementation. Other areas studied include program evaluation, needs assessment, and the publication of research information. Additionally, the application of research in working with couples and  families will be explored. (3 credit hours)
