CC 510 - Psychopathology and Introduction to Psychopharmacology


This course is designed to address the psychological, biological, neurological, social, and spiritual etiology of psychological and emotional disorders with an emphasis on diagnosis, conceptualization, and treatment care planning. An overview of the disorders in the current DSM are presented from a holistic lens. Evidenced based treatments and basic psychopharmacology are also reviewed for each disorder. Attention to cultural factors are infused throughout the course, as well as self-awareness and sensitivity to others. (3 credit hours)
