FO 666 - Community Interventions in Forensic Mental Health II

This course offers students the unique opportunity for community involvement and to study the process of change through one of The Chicago School Forensic Center’s clinical interventions. The particular focus and applied learning component of the course will vary based on the specific initiative implemented.  Students will receive live coaching and supervision from faculty related to the direct service provided as part of the applied component of the course.  Aside from direct service, students will document observations, formulate clinical hypotheses, and synthesize case data to formulate case conceptualization and provide effective recommendations that directly affects clientele and systems.  In addition, students will learn how to use an ecological model to assess bidirectional factors between clients involved in various systems.   (2 credits)
