PY 448 - Lifespan
This class examines normative development from infancy through adulthood and end of life. Areas of study will include the application of normative development to clinical psychology, including: a) human development (including biological, cognitive, behavioral, affective, social, and sensory trajectories); b) cultural diversity (including roles and dynamics related to race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual, socio-economic, and disability identity components); and c) interpersonal processes (e.g., familial, peer, romantic, communal, historical, and other interpersonal contexts). Current developmental concepts are examined from diverse theoretical viewpoints and related to recent research findings toward informing the practitioner-scholar model of clinical psychology research and practice. (3 credit hours)
