PY 434X - Intellectual Assessment


This course introduces students to models of intellectual assessment and teaches the administration, scoring, and interpretation of the most widely used intelligence assessment instruments. The course  reviews the application to intellectual assessment of basic test construction and development constructs, such as norms, standardization, and various kinds of reliability and validity data. Specific emphasis is placed on interpretation and report writing in health service settings using the WISC-V and WAIS-IV. In the lab portion of this course, students will demonstrate their knowledge and skills in administering, scoring, and interpreting these instruments. (3 credits plus lab fee)
