SP 517 - Psychopathology and Intervention I


Prerequisite(s):  . This course introduces the candidates to the major theories and models of psychotherapy and examines psychopathology behind the social-emotional-behavioral disorders typically found in schools. This course familiarizes candidates with the DSM and Special Education approach to diagnosis and classification. The student will learn the diagnosis, etiology, evidence-based interventions, and appropriate psychopharmacological treatments for various disorders. (3 credit hours)
