PY 434 - Intellectual Assessment


This course introduces students to models of intellectual assessment and explains the administration, scoring, and interpretation of the most widely used intelligence assessment instruments. The course requires students to learn and understand basic constructs associated with test construction and development, such as norms, standardization, and various kinds of reliability and validity data. A review of WISC-IV is included while specific emphasis is placed on interpretation and report writing using the WISC-V and WAIS-IV. In the lab portion of this course, students will demonstrate their knowledge and skills in administering, scoring, and interpreting these instruments. (3 credit hours)
