PY 587 - Advanced Child and Adolescent TreatmentPrerequisite(s): . This course builds on the basic child and adolescent course by providing students with more specific training in the application of cognitive behavioral approach with youth, as well as interpersonal and parent training approaches. This course will also provide students with training related to crisis intervention and trauma related interventions with children, adolescents, and families. Additionally, an integrated and treatment approach will be emphasized, in which the home, school, and community are integrated into case conceptualization (s). As such, working with parents/guardians, school, and community agencies are also emphasized. (2 credits) |
