PY 574 - Play Assessment and TreatmentPrerequisite(s): PY 437 and PY 462 and PY 464 and PY 466 and PY 468. This course will review multiple theoretical play therapy perspectives in the assessment and treatment of children from early childhood through early adolescent developmental stages. Cultural, socioeconomic, gender-related, and religious influences as they occur in the multiple systems of children’s lives will be identified. Non-verbal and verbal therapeutic modalities will be explored. (1 credit) |
