PY 574 - Play Assessment and TreatmentPrerequisite(s): PY 437 and PY 462 and PY 464 and PY 466 and PY 468 . This course will review multiple theoretical play therapy perspectives in the assessment and treatment of children from early childhood through early adolescent developmental stages. Cultural, socioeconomic, gender-related, and religious influences as they occur in the multiple systems of children’s lives will be identified. Non-verbal and verbal therapeutic modalities will be explored. (1 credit) |
