PP 630 - Theoretical Foundations of NeuropsychologyThis course provides an overview of the history and applications of neuropsychology. Introductory topics include major neuropsychological syndromes (e.g., aphasia, apraxia), selected functional neuroanatomy (e.g., cortical and subcortical organization), and cognitive development (e.g., hemispheric specialization). Brain mechanisms of emotion, language, perception, memory, attention, and executive functions will be discussed. (2 credits) |
