PF 730 - Introduction to Theories of Treatment and InterventionThis course provides a conceptual overview of the major theories, principles, and techniques of psychotherapy and psychological interventions, including (but not limited to) cognitive-behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, and humanistic-existential therapy. Emphasis will be given to techniques associated with each theory as well as factors that facilitate and/or undermine the therapeutic process (e.g., therapy-client relationship, cross-cultural dyads, transference, and countertransference).
