CC 516 - Counseling and Interviewing Skills IIPrerequisite(s): CC 505 and CC 510 and CC 511 and CC 515. This course builds upon the foundation of Interviewing Skills I. Specifically, students learn ways of incorporating these techniques into models of diagnostic interviewing. This course provides the student with a solid understanding of additional interview formats, including Mental Status Examinations and the assessment of suicidal ideation and special populations. Consideration of cultural differences in establishing a relationship and conducting an interview are integral to this course. (2 credits) |
